  Many coffee shops I know in Akita City are closed on Mondays. I stopped by Komeda Coffee Shop for the first time thinking it might be open. The parking lot is large. There is a Komeda Coffee shop where I currently live (which is far away). Although the table layout has changed, the interior is similar and gives a sense of security. Of course, the coffee tastes the same. It's a national chain store. I took my elderly mother there. I was taking the bean sweets that came with my coffee home with me, looking curious. (I had lunch elsewhere and was too full to eat.)

  The first store in Akita Prefecture. The customer seats on the left side of the store are also now non-smoking. The volume of sandwiches and burgers is amazing. The morning meal is a good deal, but I feel it's surprisingly expensive if you add drinks that aren't part of the set after lunch.

  It can get quite crowded depending on the day of the week and time of day. The food is delicious and I like it. I especially like beef stew.

  When I visited the store for the first time in a while, the menu had changed and the prices had gone up. Today, I received the Robe Bread morning set. It was a fairly small sized roll. Toast is recommended. The nostalgic Komeda Coffee Shop was very popular in Nagoya, where you can eat for a long time, but it was also quite popular here in Akita, with many people waiting their turn. I enjoyed my morning in Akita for the first time in a while. I had the miso or tsu sandwich. The sauce is milder than Nagoya's miso cutlet. Also, I didn't really taste the unique Hatcho miso flavor.

  Comfy enough. Good for kids. Coffee is at best average. Service is polite and friendly.
