::little to add to the other positive reviews. For anyone who truly appreciates coffee, and is looking for a place to really enjoy a meticulously prepared cup together with a piece cake that that matches well, and all in a quiet, refined place, this is it. Yes, it's not cheap, but a place so dedicated to true coffee culture is rare. Would love to go again. Just note that the place is not so easy to find - outside we just saw the Japanese sign, and then noticed that it was on the 5th floor via an elevator. A hidden gem.

::This is a hand-pressed cafe in Kyoto, and the tables and chairs are wood. There is no room for many people, so you must wait about 30 to 40 minutes. Yesterday I ordered an iced latte and a green tea cheesecake 🍰 and it’s delicious! This is a cafe I will come back to next time.

::Excellent coffee brewed by a dedicated master. Although pricey, each cup is carefully poured. Precise timing and weight is measured. The baristas are constantly testing and tweaking. Menus are in Japanese, but there’s a QR code for English if you need it. Also try the cheese cake here. They have many different types. Mostly locals in the place. Our favourite Kissa in Kyoto.

::Came here on recommendation from IG. It’s a popular spot located on 5F for locals, and there was a queue when we visited at 3+ on a weekend. They only had Japanese menu. We didn’t pick the type of coffee beans we wanted, but the coffee was good even with the standard beans they used. They ran out of a few cheesecakes so we got one of the remaining ones that the staff recommended. It was slightly salty but light on the palate so it went well with our coffees too. It’s pretty pricey, we paid 2400 for 2 coffees and one cheesecake, so we recommend if you’re a serious coffee aficionado who can understand Japanese. If not, there are tons of other cafes around the area with more affordable options.

::What you get here is not the regular coffee, but high-quality coffee made from hand drip specialty coffee beans. Not cheap, so I recommend this cafe to those who really care about coffee. As for the coffee quality, it is one of the best cafes I have ever been to. Nobody is perfect though, because last time I was there, when I got my coffee, it was not really hot enough...at least not for my taste. Why not put a lid on the coffee cup? I think for coffee of this quality (and price) they should make sure, they serve the coffee really, really hot. This is why I’m afraid I can’t give 5 stars.
