  Authentic atmosphere and scenery. Usually they are fully booked, but we tried to walk in at late afternoon luckily we got a table. Delicious and typical eel cuisine but would expect more for this historic restaurant in Nara

  We were a group of 20 on a set menu. Food was we'll prepared. Fresh. I don't know exactly what it was but it was delicious.

  With such a long history, I expected more from the Japanese fine dining restaurant. But here you are, mediocre food in presentation and taste, at a hefty price, I think one better off just take a free stroll of the house’s small yet well kept garden, think that would be much more rewarding.

  Very delicious food ! The service is great, waiters speak English, the building is huge and luxurious, the quantity of food is modest but you can ask for more rice, the set menus are a good option, try the local sakes and the local plum wine is amazing.

  We dined here while at a wedding. The whole course was amazing to look at and to the taste. The staff was friendly and ready to serve at any moment. Best yaki uni and grilled tai we ever had.
