  The location is not close to JR station but you can find the supermarket DeliciA, chocolate factory along the way. There is bicycles renting service. The front desk helped us to call a taxi which is a big help.

  A nice place and room is big and spacious. Dining inside the hotel's restaurant is a nice experience but only portion is bit insufficient. Breakfast choices is not that much.

  I got a VERY good rate, which I haven't seen again, hence stating it was excellent value. I I stayed in a new wing western style forest style room. Very large (by Japanese tourist hotel standards) room, with separate entrance, bath-room, toilet and basin areas. Very comfortable bed As per website photos. I didn't eat here, but bought food from supermarkets within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. It is a bit away from main tourist areas, about half hour flat walk from Karuizawa station - quite doable, if you have a backpack or trolly bag. I walked everywhere - expect 40 minute + walk to old Karuizawa. Suggest a room upstairs and ask for one away from the onsens - it will be quieter when people walk around at night..

  Wonderful little place in Karuizawa. We stayed here for a few days during our Japanese honeymoon. Definitely recommend using the private onsen (can register for a time slot in the lobby via touchscreen). We were there during off-season, so it was definitely quiet. We opted for the Japanese style room, which was lovely. Very spacious and comfortable. The only negative was that the hotel is not really within walking distance to anything, and taxis and buses seem to be non-existent past 5pm, so just be aware.

  Me and my husband booked this hotel as a nice getaway, upon entering the hotel we both immediately noticed the cleanliness of the lobby and public facilities was low. When we arrived at the room we were further disappointed, there were stains throughout the carpet and sheets and the bathroom tiles were broken and had black and pink mold. The surfaces in the bathroom, television, desk and walls had obviously not been cleaned properly either. For a hotel advertising their bathing amenities cleanliness should be a priority. We felt we could not trust the facilities and decided to not stay. Though we had only viewed the room the staff was very unhelpful and honestly unconcerned. They were only able to offer us a discount of 7,400 yen, the full price of the room was 36,000 yen. The assistant manager showed no concern or basic hospitality service skills. We will be contacting the company further.
