::I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Wellies in Karuizawa, and it truly felt like a home away from home. I was travelling alone on this trip and the owner, Chris, was incredibly welcoming and made my stay feel personal and comfortable from the moment I arrived :)) The aesthetic of the hotel is delightful, especially the living room, which is designed in a beautiful old European style. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring, with great food and soothing music adding to the ambiance. The location is also fantastic—just a short 7-minute walk from the station. For added convenience, they offer transport to and from the nearest train station, which made my travel experience even smoother. Though I was only there for one night, the warmth and coziness of the place made it feel like I had been there much longer. It’s an ideal spot for solo travelers looking to relax and soak in some local charm. I would definitely return if I find myself in Karuizawa again!

::Wonderful Hotel with Authentic English Charm We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which impressed us with its warm atmosphere and authentic English charm. The owner, a very kind Englishman who has lived in Japan for 11 years, has successfully brought a piece of England to this hotel. The entire staff is extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel's decor is lovingly crafted, reminiscent of a nostalgic journey back to the days of youth hostels. Our room was very spacious, quiet, and comfortable, making our stay particularly relaxing. The hotel's location is also ideal – quietly situated and easily accessible by car or train.

::I stayed for three days and two nights, and the entire trip was incredibly comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly, offering refreshments and bicycle rentals. One night, when I got injured, Judy kindly helped treat my wound. The next day, after I lost some belongings, Chris graciously arranged to have them sent to my next hotel. Their genuine hospitality filled my heart with gratitude for Japan, Karuizawa, and Wellies.

::It’s a fantastic experience in the hotel. Thanks for Chris ‘s Pick up at the station.He is a humorous and romantic guy ,so are the things in the hotel. everything is so beautiful—the fine collection from an British boy. even if it’s raining, you can explore Weill in the hotel for fun. Music and food is also great.This is a place where you want to come back. Everyone I met here is so nice.Thanks again!

::an incredible experience. The entire British atmosphere including the meals make you feel like you are in a little England. The kindness and good humor of the entire team is contagious. I felt so good and relaxed. the rooms are super comfortable and clean, the shower has excellent pressure. The English breakfast is delicious and very well prepared, next time I will try dinner too. Thanks for the Wellies team, see you again.
