::Nice hostel experience. Traditional Japanese beds were a bit uncomfortable/ different to what I was used to but the authentic experience was a nice change from hotels. Facilities were well kept and laundry is available (washer + dryer) for those needing to wash their clothes during their travels. Well located for exploring Hiroshima but it is quite far from the main station. Good food options in local area. Incredible value for money considering the price.

::We were excited about our stay at the J-Hoppers Hostel, but unfortunately, we were unable to stay because we had our 3-year-old son with us. At other Japanese hostels, accommodating him in the same room hadn’t been an issue. Despite offering to pay for an additional bed, we were informed of a hostel policy prohibiting those under 18 from staying in dorm rooms—a rule I had previously overlooked. When I requested a refund of our deposit, it was denied. The hostel attributed this to Hostelworld’s policies, stating that they had no control over deposits. This was surprising as there was no mention of such a policy in J-Hoppers’ terms and conditions. Disappointed and feeling misled, we had no choice but to leave without a refund, rating our experience as poor.

::Friendly staff. We had a private room, which was small but fine. The common room has all necessary facilities and is a great space to relax. Shared bathroom facilities were great, nothing to remark. The hostel offers bicycle rentals.

::We arrived here after a long flight from Australia and then trying to Hiroshima. Took a little while to find the place but after that the room was warm and inviting. Location of the guest house was excellent just a short walk to the tram and just near the station was a delightful little coffee café shop which sold traditional Japanese breakfast. Very nice guesthouse suitable for a short stay.

::Very comfortable, traditional Japanese room. Futon was very nice to sleep on. The room was big, plenty of space to have bags and sit at the low table. Lovely big window with light. Shared bathrooms were clean. We didn't use the kitchen or lounge area. Well located, near the Peace Park and easy to catch trams nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. A little noisy but not enough to keep you up. Quite steep stairs to carry luggage up.
