::I recently stayed here for a week and wish I could have stayed longer. The proprietress was very friendly, checking in with me each day. It made it a much more personal experience than staying at a hotel. I also really enjoyed the experience of sleeping on futons and tatami mats. Despite the summer heat, the air conditioning worked great. And it was never a problem using the shower or free washing machine (note: hang dry only so plan your time accordingly!). As others have mentioned, the rooms are upstairs but unless you have mobility issues, bringing your luggage up will probably not be a problem. Just please understand this is a more traditional style of ryokan, not to be confused with today's luxury ryokan with onsen baths and kaiseki meals. If you're looking for an authentic experience with a great location at a great price, Iroha Ryokan is for you!

::I had a great experience at this Ryokan. The owner was very welcoming and gave me a tour of the room and bathroom when I arrived. I was grateful that she allowed me to check in early. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Aomori. It's conveniently located near the station. The room, bathroom, and toilet were very clean with all the amenities you need. There was no smell, and I even found free tea and chocolates in my room. I would love to come back again. Overall, my experience was fantastic! ありがとうございます🍎

::We loved our stay at the Iroha Ryokan. It's traditional rooms which are cleaned daily, the place is well kept, has a convenient location near the train station and plenty of shops. And the host Mrs Sato is a kind and lovely woman. Great value for money, would recommend a stay here

::If you don't mind sharing a bathroom this place is great. The rooms were small but very clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Rooms have tatami floors and thick futons to sleep on. The location was great, near Aomori Station, the Nebuta museum, A-Factory, and the city's main shopping street. It was also very affordable.

::Modest accommodation oozing with charm. The owner is a sweet lady who constantly went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Tidy, traditional rooms with tatami mat flooring and roll out futons. Excellent location, extremely close to the Aomori train station, Aomori Harbour and main shopping street.
