::The overall experience was superb with its retro touch. The restaurant in the lobby has a great coffee and food menu... but the roof restaurant has a buffet with alot of its food is contain alcohol and pork so it's not recommended for Muslim.. no washing machine available

::My favorite hotel in Kyoto. We have been staying there for over 20 years. Hotel is beautiful. Amazing location , & the staff are fantastic. Only one concern, rooms are a little dated & need a refresh. But we love this hotel & will always come back when in Kyoto!

::The staff were very nice and welcoming. The location was perfect because you could see the sun rise and canal. The service was amazing and very quick you sign in very easily and also easy checkout. Loved the pillows and warm sheets. Highly recommend 😀

::I really love this hotel for its interesting 1970/80/90 well preserved luxury ‘old modern’ Kyoto vibe. Convenient central location, many fine food restaurants inside and all with seriously cool time capsule decor. Book in advance and you can find some wonderful bargains here. Star rating based in part on getting a good deal.

::This is an older hotel that is centrally located in Kyoto. Its history started in 1888 and has connected travelers for over a century. The location of the hotel is it's strength now as the rooms and amenities are a bit dated. But, the hotel is clean and well stocked. Overall, it remains a nice place to stay for travelling through Kyoto.
