  Small hotel with pretty small rooms and beds. Definitely dated, but close to Hakodate JR station (not the Shinkansen station) For a pretty inexpensive hotel, not many complaints. It’s a fine place to stay for a night or two. Fish markets across the street are worth checking out.

  This hotel is old. The decor including the furnitures from the front desk and lobby are dark and dated. The stairs and floorings are peeling off. I was already hesitant to stay but I thought maybe I should wait until I see our room hoping that it will be renovated and bright. On the way to our room, I also noticed a certain smell. I was expecting our room to be small since we booked a small double bed with two occupancy. But because of the room being old and has dark decor, it made me so claustrophobic. I immediately checked the internet, if there was a bigger room in the same hotel. I found one and was willing to pay extra for a bigger room. My husband went down to the front desk and requested to move us to a bigger room. The front desk personnel told my husband that they were fully booked even though it showed in the internet. I did another search in the internet for the same room and found one at Four Points Sheraton hotel which was one block away from Hotel New Ohte .I confirmed the availability of the room at Four Points Sheraton and booked it right away. We checked out after two hours we checked in at New Ohte and moved to Sheraton. I was so unhappy, dissatisfied and disappointed for the service that was rendered to us by Hotel New Ohte. This is the First time to receive this kind of service coming from the japanese.

  Small hotel. Reception on level 2, rooms on level 3, rooftop open air parking. To sleep 5 of us, our room had 2 single beds, a sofa bed, and a double deck bunk. Forget about leaving suitcases opened on the floor, we could barely walk with all our suitcases closed. The interior is very dated, and that's still an understatement. Now for the positives. Biggest draw for me is the morning market across the road. Seafood lover's paradise. Parking is free for guests. And when I left the car's interior lights on, the kind attendant took the trouble to inform me during the night. Both washers cum dryer (on rooftop) seems new, per wash is 500yen if I recall.

  Good location (right in front of Hakodate morning market, 5 minutes walk from JR Hakodate Station) and clean room. Facilities are quite old and have tabacco smell despite non-smoking room. Price is acceptable.

  Location is great. Cross the road from morning seafood market and stone throw from train station. Facility is very dated. Bathroom is so small and struggled to get in and out. It will be very difficult with young children and elderly.
