  We loved the location of the Hotel Monterey - Akasaka. it is handy to funky restaurants and shops. The rooms were well appointed and a good size for Japan, we could even soak in the tub. Getting the breakfast option set us up for the day's sightseeing. There are metro entrances within easy walking but we used the taxi to get to the Imperial Palace as there is enough walking once you get there.

  For my first time in Japan, Hotel Monterey was such a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and can speak English. Our room was a two double and about the standard size for a hotel room in America. We stayed for 10 days they have breakfast in traditional Japanese and western style. Across the street there is a nice temple. It’s about a ten minute walk to the metro station and there are 2 convenient stores (Family Mart and Lawson’s) right next to it. You are walking distance to the night life where there are a bunch of bars and restaurants. It’s one train to many places like akakusa and ginza. It’s not connected by a JR rail so be careful it might be a bit intimidating but after two tries it gets easy. Overall our stay was amazing thanks Hotel Monterey!

  I found my single room perfectly cozy with a fantastic view of the gardens and street below. The staff provided truly excellent service and I never found fault with any communication -- everything was clear and friendly. I enjoyed the diversity of options of the breakfast bar, in particular. My breakfast was a highlight of each day and a fantastic start in the morning. Bedding, amenities, and shower were perfect.

  We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Monterey Akasaka. The Akasaka area is pleasant as it isn't very touristic, but it was close enough to areas which are nice to see in Tokyo. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts every morning in the charming breakfast room with a view over the park opposite to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and did a great job looking after us. The rooms were quite small, but this is normal in Tokyo. Nevertheless the room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here and would come back again.

  This is my second time staying with Monterey Group hotels in Japan, the first time was in August 2014, at Monterey Hanzomon, and now at Monterey Akasaka. I found the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Amenities provided made my experience more comfortable. Decoration is gorgeus and I liked the music in the corridor, it was totally relaxing. The lobby staff and cleaning personnel are very nice persons, very helpful, and they even helped me to send mail and to take a taxi. I stayed in some other hotels in Japan of other chains, but they were not as good as Monterey Akasaka.
