::20 June 2024: 1) After checking out, we realized that our expensive toothpaste was missing. 2) Unprofessional & untrained staff. When I said we stayed here before, the daytime staff (pale-faced woman with pink blusher on both cheeks) did not have any welcome remark at all. When depositing our luggage before check-in time, she told us to put the luggage ourselves over to the side instead of doing it herself as a hotel staff. 3) On our last night, I was checking up hotel reviews on my laptop and my companion was also quietly doing his own thing. Suddenly, the phone rang. The male night reception staff spoke entirely in Japanese. I said, "I don't understand.". He then said a single English word, "Silence.". So I got the gist that he was saying that we were being noisy. I tried telling him that we had been quiet all along. It was foolish of him to offend guests & lose business over another's guest random complaint. Also, it is normal for some sound or voices when there is more than 1 person in a room. Everybody paid for their room. It is unfair to expect all guests to be silent because of 1 guest's requirement for silence. And the walls are made of cheap, board partitions. Rather than blame your hotel's poor sound proofing, you blame the customer. We have travelled to other countries & no hotel staff has ever phoned to tell us to be quiet. Is the complaining guest hearing things that are not real? 4) The hotel is old. The corridor is dark & gloomy with bad energy. Old doors that look like classroom doors with knobs. 5) Wi-fi is unstable. 6) Room is very small. Bathroom is very small. 7) Noisy on most nights due to drunks shouting downstairs till morning. And motorbikes & cars purposely raving up their engines while passing by. The neighbourhood looks normal & quiet in the daytime, but is different at night. 8) Hard bed. Flat & hard pillows. 9) No trash bag. When I asked the staff for trash bag, she didn't know what I meant. Finally, she said just put the trash in the bin. Every hotel I have stayed has trash bags lining their trash bins, except Hotel Maira. 10) Small capacity kettle with a strange cooking pot material inside, instead of metal. 11) Window sometimes cannot close completely. 12) Room has an old, grandmother smell. 13) Noisy, high-pitched fridge motor. 14) Hotel's requirement is that guests have to give the room key to the reception staff when going out & have to get back the room key upon returning to the hotel. The key is an actual key attached to a long plastic stick with the room number on it. Giving the key means you're not in your room.

::Cosy hotel with good service. Located in walking distance to Okayama Station, possible to walk to Okayama Castle. Rooms are a bit dated yet comfortable, the service is just great! Free drinks and cheap snacks around the clock, free breakfast. Definitely recommended for a stay in Okayama!

::a good hotel not costing much. the service is excellent for the price class and the free drinks and cheap snacks are cool. the rooms are clean. all in all the interior is sometimes a bit old but it works flawlessly and even though they have to change it eventually and modernize for now its good! (the fridge was a bit loud though while trying to sleep). its very near okayama station and aeon mall and the area is filled with food joints. i had a very good time there

::The service was excellent. They offered free bread in the morning, free drinks all day, complimentary wifi, and cheap snacks! The price is adequate. And the rooms were clean but they have a bit of smell so ce they are a little old and use to be smokers rooms, maybe.
