  The room is great and the onsen is wonderful, my kids had a blast. The hospitality is warm and friendly, the young lady was especially nice and cute. We wish to come back and hopefully with 2 nights stay.

  My first true ryokan experience with a private onsen indoors and outdoors. Our “house” was clean, spotless and spacious. I only wish there was more racks and hangers to hang clothing and towels. There was only a small short standing rack to hang two towels which was not enough. We had no place to hang our clothing. Meals suited my taste buds. The portions looked small but it filled me and my husband. We didn’t get a chance to use the family onsens since we enjoyed our private one a lot. But you don’t need to book the family onsens. Only need to change the sign to “in use” when you use it.

  Awesome moments in Hoteiya. Rooms are awesome and big, the baths are perfect and the food is really good. On top of that, everyone is really nice and makes you feel at home.

  Nice family trip with 2 adults and my 20 months baby, the room is big enough for him running, and it is safe because few steps to take when going to private spa. The staffs are friendly and speak English very well. We had both dinner and breakfast in private room. Dinner is delicious but only wagyu is a bit oily on the iron plate. We did not paid meal fee for my kids and they are so kind to give us rice. To be concluded, the overall experience is enjoyable and it is recommended for everyone.

  This lodge gave us an amazing and authentic experience in a Japanese-ish house. There were also quite a number of staff who were very proficient in English so that made our stay great. Our stay covers breakfast and dinner. The menu itself changes everyday and was generally okay. The portions are huge by Asian standards. (Couldn’t upload all the pictures of the food due to file limitations) The estate has a public bath and a private bath which you have to reserve. Our room came with a private bath but I understand that not all rooms come with that. Water is really hot! Something crazy that you might notice from the video is that the shower is outside! So during winter, you have to go out naked to take a shower. Something that might be scary for some but you’ll quickly warm up due to the hot water
