::Immerse yourself in tranquility and relaxation at this enchanting onsen hotel, perfectly situated for those seeking a serene ski getaway. Just a 15-minute drive from the nearby ski resort, this hotel offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Convenience is at your fingertips with a nearby store and effortless parking. While the hotel’s facilities have an air of classic Japanese charm, reflecting its venerable heritage, guests should embrace the traditional experience. My room featured a quaint, private onsen, an intimate escape within the confines of the bathroom. It’s important to note that the room lacks a conventional shower, encouraging guests to indulge in the communal onsen experience. The culinary offerings, included in my package, provided a delightful taste of local cuisine, though the portions of meat and seafood were modest. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exemplary service; the staff’s respectful and kind demeanor is commendable. While English communication may be limited, their eagerness to use translation apps ensures a smooth and welcoming interaction. Ideal for travelers seeking a blend of relaxation, traditional Japanese aesthetics, and attentive service, this onsen hotel is a hidden gem for a restorative ski trip. Experience the essence of Japanese hospitality and the joy of a secluded retreat at this charming destination.

::It was a very lovely place and the staff were so kind and thoughtful. There was so much attention to detail in everything they did and the food that was included was amazing. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and will be recommending this to everyone I know. The onsen in the room was divine and it was all just so lovely. Thank you to all the staff members who made it so amazing.

::During our three week trip to Japan we booked a night at the Hayamaken Ryokan for a wee treat whist on our honeymoon. This was our first time to a ryokan so we weren't sure of how things are supposed to go, thankfully the staff were amazing and on hand to help. From making sure we had dinner and breakfast bookings, helping us with the yukata and giving us a lift to the station, everything was top class. Special thank you to the staff for their patience with how little japanese we speak and especially for the gift they gave us.
