  Visited back in 2010 and loved the new additions. Food was delicious and staff was friendly and helpful.

  Nice historical place. You can eat while learning about what happen during shogun 500 years ago. Good food, reasonable price and friendly atmosphere.

  For what's worth this is a decent ikazaya even if you ignore the historical factors: food is decent with reasonable price, except the soba noodles which is kinda lame...perhaps because we got it in a course menu. Then there is the historical factor which imo is great for anyone interested in that part of history. They have quite a few ester eggs related!

  Incredible experience. We were 20 people and they were able to seat and serve us very efficiently. The food was very tasty and flavorful. The all you can drink options were a great hot with our group! Definitely get the tonkatsu. It's the best I've ever had!

  Historical place, restaurant rebuilt on the original Ikedaya. This izakaya offers usual food and drinks, price is reasonable. Simple food, but not bad. Just for the pleasure to eat at a place where a part of the Shinsengumi history happened.
