::Going to the guest house you have to climb up the slope road all the way up unless you have a car then thats easy. The view in the morning and night is wonderful. Room is quite big and spacious Toilet is not too big not too small and just nice Its clean and alot of vintage stuff Owner is friendly and check in is super quick Would recommended

::I got to stay here shortly after it re-opened post a 3 year shut down. The owner and the staff are hard workers and are continuing to make improvements as they go. I was lucky enough to hang out with them one of the nights I was there. I adore the retro electronics and record players. It is a place you can simply enjoy staring out the window. I stopped here on a bicycle trip, just know you have a steep climb to get to the house, though I found it well worth it! Right near Hakodate Park, a Lawson is close and I think the nearest market is 2 km away, a nice walk, or you can catch the tram in front of the Lawson. If I ever come back to Hakodate, this will be where I stay.

::What a lovely experience to stay in this guest house. The owner was so welcoming, giving a lot of explanations of the town, suggesting places to visit and eat. She even gave us a ride by car to the tramway stop as it was raining and we had children with us. The guest house itself is delightfully furnished with a collection of antique objects such as typewriters, a gramophone, fully functioning TVs and record players. There is a shared kitchen which is very practical. I loved the system where the guests mark their items with a sticker of their name and checkout date. The owner generates an atmosphere where guests feel motivated to speak to other guests, which enhances the whole guest house experience and sets it apart from staying in a hotel. Highly recommended.

::Hakodate is one of my favorite places in Japan, and this guest house is one of the best I've ever stayed in. The location is inconvenient but the owner (who also owns a vintage Ferrari) will happily give you rides to and from the JR station. Plus, you can overlook the city from the guesthouse which is a beautiful view. The house itself was clean and cozy, and incredibly well decorated in vintage things and traditional Japanese style. Kitchen has vinyl records and a player. All your other required amenities are there. Absolute treat to stay in. Next time I'm here I would spend a week just to relax and enjoy the guesthouse and the amazing city.
