The store is built with a Western-style structure of brick and wooden trusses, and has an earthenware-style exterior, and the store has an excellent design as a fusion of Japanese and Western styles. In 1971, it was designated as a national important cultural property as a valuable building that still conveys the state of the merchant house of the Meiji era.
