  This hotel surprised us in a good way. It’s a bit old and not cheap compared to hotels in the city but it is much cheaper than staying on the island itself and considering it is right next to the ferry pier and ferries run every 10 minutes and it’s only 5 minute ride it makes it a much better value proposition than staying on the island. Also means you can come and go like we did easily over a couple of days without long train trips. Our room was large twin with water views. Good size bathroom. Lounge and pillows not overly comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable. Staff were helpful and professional.

  Recommend this hotel. 2 mins walk from Miyajima ferry. Easy to get to. Nice hotel. A bit more room then Kyoto hotel. Nice view of Miyajima Island too. We would stay again.

  Do not stay at this hotel because it is below standard. The pictures are deceiving and misleading. Bedding is uncomfortable because the sheets are rough like sand paper. And the comforter is made from plastic. The wallpaper has scratches and stains. The comforter is disgusting because it has stains. The furniture are scratched, chipped and unstable. The furniture are in worse and old condition; and they belong to a homeless shelter. Homeless shelters have better furniture. There is a desk but the desk has no chair. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. However, you do not need to stay near Miyajima. It is a short subway ride to Hiroshima city where there are better comfortable and updated hotels for the same price or less. I had to take the subway back to the city and get a different hotel for a night because the room was in a Horrible condition. Online pictures deceive. Do not waste your money and time staying at Miyajima Coral Hotel because it is a scam.

  Miyajima Coral Hotel 宮島コーラルホテル When I rate score for hotel... Flow stenght of water: very good Water temperature adjustment: so easy Room Size: Ok Room clean: Ok And they provide 2 bottles of drinking water in the room.

  It's a decent Showa era style hotel, a nice change from super modern offerings, perhaps with slightly less comfort but with a great price tag and a free breakfast. I had a room with a double bed. And the location is great if you are interested in Miyajima. I speak Japanese so I didn't have problems communicating with staff. I found other guests at the hotel less agreeable than in slightly more upscale places, but maybe it was just a bad day.
