There is not much view from the rooms but it is more than made up for with other great offerings. Some of the rooms are nicely remodeled with an exquisite bathtub crafted from solid wood in a semi-open air bathroom. The food and service is excellent!

I had the privilege of staying at this Ryokan for several days. The service was amazing and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I got a traditional room with a personal onsen and it was worth every penny. The town is also lovely and very welcoming. I will strive to come back to Japan just to stay here again. Our assigned staff member Kazuki was soo graceful and welcoming. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience!

Very good traditional Ryokan. Service is excellent, the rooms are traditional and cosy, and the onsen-baths(men and women bath separately) are very nice. The rooms with private baths can be recommended for couples for a romantic relaxing stay. Food is excellent but be aware of what you are getting yourself into as it's very traditional.

The best stay we had while in Japan! Etsuna our host was amazing and friendly. Our meals were so delicious (like even the spring water tasted incredible). Our room was such a nice place to relax and enjoy the private onsen (with yuzu!) - could've stayed here forever!

My favorite place in this Japan trip! When I first entered the room, spring water had already been prepared. Waiters greeted us from the gate and showed us how to control the devices in the room. We booked additional dinner which was served in Kaiseki way. Dinner and breakfast were both sent to the room. And staffs would help prepare the bedding. The spring was hot and comfortable. Food was excellent, too. Also, it only takes 5 min to walk to the sea. So you may want to go to see the view before check out! But it's totally ok to spend the whole day in the hotel because it was so fun. I highly recommend to take the experience in Japan.
