::While looking for an Italian restaurant on my way home from Oita, I was turned down by 3 restaurants (I guess it's normal if you don't have a reservation lol) Just when I was about to give up, an eel restaurant opened. As we were approaching the outskirts of Oita City, we made a pit stop without hesitation. I ate hitsumabushi and liver yaki and both were delicious 😋 The scent is irresistible I like the taste of the sauce, which is light and not too sweet. The ochazuke at the end is delicious with a touch of wasabi. And cheap! (Maybe it's a regional thing) It's not steamed like Yanagawa, so tastes may differ. If you like fluffy eel, I think it probably won't suit you. It seems like I was riding the Oita version of Michelin. (I noticed it when I made the payment lol) Actually, I went in without any expectations so I didn't take any photos of the meal. This is an eel restaurant that I would like to visit again if I go to Oita.

::Visited alone on a Sunday after 12pm. I was able to enter the store without waiting. It had been almost half a century since I last visited, but they were still doing well. Maybe it was rebuilt? It was a very beautiful store. I ordered the Unajyu no Matsu for 4,500 yen. It was served in about 15 minutes. I was moved by the first time we had met since elementary school. If you ask me if it tastes the same as before, I have a vague memory of it, but it was very delicious. Rather than steaming and then grilling in the Kanto style, the meat was grilled as is, making the skin crispy and the meat firm and chewy. The sauce is not too sweet and delicious. I will definitely visit again when I go to Kyushu.

::It's not a very large store, but it seems to have 26 seats. The customers were calm and not noisy, and I was able to enjoy the eel slowly. The skin was crispy, fragrant and very delicious. Of course, the taste of the sauce was also good. Next time, I think I'll try Hitsumabushi (^^)
