::It's a typical Dormy Inn hotel with natural onsen, good breakfast and service, good location, late night ramen service (which we didn't take), ice cream, yakult provided depending on time of the day, good beddings, communal laundry, etc. It's the first time that we encountered a weird negative issue at this hotel chain (or any hotel for that matter) - there was a very bad sewerage smell in the bathroom (room 612). Other than that it'd have been a very nice stay.

::This hotel is awesome! It is centrally located next to the Sakura Machi shopping mall and walkable distance to the tram stops. We love the amenities at this hotel like the free all day coffee & tea, late night ramen, icebars, etc. I love love love the Hershey’s choco monaka! They have so much to offer. In particular, we truly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsen on the rooftop. The cold bath was also very refreshing and interesting :) They have plenty of coin laundry that you can use and also a place to get a relaxing massage at reasonable price. Totally love this place and we would go back if we visit Kumamoto again!

::Excellent location! Just about a ten minutes walk to the main shopping belt. The hotel comes with an onsen which is a signature of the dormy inn chain of hotels. The onsen was rustic and felt so good to use it at the end of each day. Coffee was free as well. Right outside the onsen, the ice cream were free to eat too. Not to forget, the free ramen every night for supper. Morning wise, they had the yakult drinks made available for free as well. Always thought that the chain of hotels offer good value and comfortable stay throughout Japan. Not extremely big rooms but it was ok if you were using it simply to sleep every night. As expected of most Japanese hotels, the rooms were clean and equipped with the necessary items like hairdryer and Japanese green tea bags.

::Rooms are compact where would be better with fluffier pillows cos they were rather hard & flat. Service was excellent overall. Great that they had washers to use. Like their onsen bath & space. Excellent location to mall, arcade, Kumamoto Castle & trams. Location is great!

::We were a group of 4 in 2 rooms and we're there for 2 nights. Room was great. Nice to have an ofuro but for the number of customers the women's section was quite full. Hotel has plenty of washing machines on suana floor which are easy to use. Breakfast options were great for both who eat only a Japanese or Western breakfast. Pillows were a low point. Very hard and thin. We all tried 2 pillows but that just made for 2 blocks of cement under your head instead of one. Overall a great experience.
