  I visited around 13:30 on a weekday to open a new account. Unfortunately, the jurisdiction of this credit union seems to be divided based on address, and only the branch in charge can open an account. Also, when I inquired about the account opening procedure in advance, there was no guidance, but at the counter, I was almost gently refused, saying, ``You can open an account online, so why don't you go through the procedure?'' I did. When I asked them to open one again, I got the impression that they were very reluctant to open one, asking questions such as, ``Do I need a passbook?'' ``Do I have to complete the procedure today?'' ``Do you mind if it takes some time?'' I understand that it's for crime prevention purposes, but when people respond with furrowed brows, it makes me want to give up on opening one. The work seemed to be gradual, and apart from filling out necessary information and completing procedures using tablets, there was plenty of time for staff to chat with each other. Once the opening procedures are complete, you will receive guidance (sales information) such as, ``Are you interested in iDeCo or NISA?'' ``Would you like to start?'' I'm sure it's a manual, but I was surprised that I was able to provide guidance after so much reluctance, so I politely declined. We apologize for taking your time this time.
