Excellent hotel. Very clean and modern. Comfortable beds and pillows. Bathroom larger than normal Japanese hotels, even had a small bath. Hotel staff were friendly and easy to talk to in English.

Truly a great hotel with fantastic views of the castle. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Right on the bus line that services the JR station as well as Kimiidera and Kuroshio market. Highly recommended.

Spacious rooms, especially the bathroom! The view from the 20th floor is very nice, worth it to take the elevator and check it out! Also please opt for the breakfast as this was very good! Get a view at the window to see Wakayama Castle. Very much enjoyed our stay here

Very strategic hotel near Wakayama castle. We can see it through our windows. They offer you a discount to Wakayama castle (from 410 to 300 yen), just asking the reception. It's clean room and well-organized. The hospitality of the reception is friendly for English speakers

The view does not disappoint!!! And, the location is very convenient. Breakfast was delicious. However, do be warned that even non-smoking rooms may reek of cigarette smoke. I booked a non-smoking room as confirmed via email and phone call but upon entry it stank heavily of smoke. Even after a day of leaving the window open we could still smell it, and after only one hour with the window closed our eyes started burning a bit (my friends and I all woke with irritated eyes). This is not the staff’s fault— the staff themselves (at check-in) were very sweet and kind!!! This is more so an administrative fault… the receptionist apologized saying that yes the room was non-smoking but that adjacent rooms may allow cigarettes and so she can’t do anything to help. It just doesn’t make sense to have a non-smoking room surrounded by so much smoke that it might as well be a smoking room too… Hopefully this was just an unfortunate experience! From other reviews it seems non-smoking rooms are for the most part better separated, so my experience might’ve been rare and just due to the hotel being especially busy that weekend or something. Other than the smoke, the stay was great.
