::Stumbled into this little cafe while walking through higashi Chaya district. Traditional tea house with delicious by snacks and amazing matcha. We tried the match with brown sugar jelly set and the iced matcha set with jelly made of warabamochi and vanilla ice cream and red bean, Both sets were really good. The service was very warm and friendly as well.

::I was intrigued by the advert for ice cold green tea zanzai on a hot afternoon and came in. Am so glad we did. Enjoyed everything about our visit, the welcome, the service, the ambience and the zanzai itself which was elegant and delicious. My husband very much enjoyed the quality of his home made ume drink which was supremely refreshing. We hope to return to Kanazawa and will make a point of returning.

::Traditional tea house serving Japanese sweets and desserts. I tried the iced matcha zenzai which is matcha with a scoop of adzuki beans, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and small cubes of warabimochi. I don’t recall myself ever trying this combination but I do enjoy it.

::Lovely traditional tea room. Choice of seats from modern through to tatami floor. Excellent service, English spoken. Good coffee and a great place for a pit-stop in the Higashi Chaya area.
