I cannot really understand the often negative reviews of the place, I had a lovely stay. The hotel is generally not the newest, but the room I stayed in (713) was well maintained and super clean. Big window, big tv, overall tiny room. The bed is soft and very comfortable, I slept like a baby. The staff is professional and friendly. Just the location could be a little better, it's about a 10-15min walk from the train station.

Room was quite small and had some cosmetic damage to the wallpaper etc, but a nice TV and good quality towels, robes and shampoo. However, there were only two sockets and in this day and age that is really not enough, especially with a room for two people. Service was standardly polite. Good location pretty near the station and good if you want to go out drinking at night. Didn't have the breakfast, so can't comment. Public bath, which is free for guests, was pretty big and the water felt nice.

APA Hotels are always a great choice. Staff was beyond helpful, I accidentally booked the wrong dates but Kitamoto San corrected it for me and then upgraded my room. Motorcycle parking out the front undercover. Onsen is good with an outdoor bath. Location is great for night life. Breakfast is normal Japanese style with limited western choices.

Average hotel with minimum service but you are not there for the service. It’s affordable and not so far from the fukui station in an active part of the city. The room is small but in japan every hotel room is small. The bathroom could be cleaner but it’s ok and shampoo and body soap are nice quality. Apa is the way to go if you have a small budget but still want to have some confort.

Good price for the night. Small rooms, to be expected. I could hardly fit in the room's atrium. First time I have been in a room that the key had to be put in a wall slot to get power to the room. Prefab bathroom had black mold in the corners and shower curtains. Water is scalding and bathtub (intentionally?) drains into the bathroom floor. Spa does not allow those with tattoos, so unfortunately I wasn't able to utilize it. Great breakfast.
