::Great hotel with spacious rooms and a 7/11 connected to the building. Staff is excellent and friendly and is close proximity to the station!

::We enjoyed the close location of the hotel to the train station, the park, and other local attractions. The rooms were very well kept and the staff immensely helpful in finding local services such as a good onsen. Stayed for five nights; would stay again. I'm not a Japanese speaker but that was not an issue during my stay.

::Excellent hotel and a relatively cheap price for the quality you get. Spacious rooms, comfortable and large beds, good bathrooms. Location is very close to many areas in downtown and restaurants. Parking was not free. Breakfast was pricey, but that may have been because I paid at the desk and not when I made my reservation. Staff was very accommodating for English speakers.

::This hotel, I think, is newer than other hotels that are closer to the train station. Location doesn't really matter because it's still only 10 min. walk from Akita station. I would have used gym if they had one, but this hotel mainly caters to people on business trips to the city, so fitness room isn't necessarily needed for the majority of hotel guests.

::I spent two nights at the Akita Castle Hotel in March. It was a short walk from the train station near multiple attractions like the Akita Museum of Art and the castle ruins in Senshu Park. There's a large 7-Eleven by the entrance or a Lawsons around the corner for all your convenience needs. My room was perfect for a solo traveller, with all the comforts I needed.
