It has a nice old feel. According to the map, it was open from 11am, but it wasn't open, so when I called, they sent me an email and said it would open at 12pm, so I went there at 12pm. The landlady tells me all kinds of stories. It was a family run business, so it felt very homely. It's not Kawara Soba, it's Onigawara Soba! Please ask the store staff!

I was a little tired from walking so I stopped by this restaurant for lunch. When you enter, there are table seats and tatami-style seats. There was a calm atmosphere of an old folk house, and there was no background music, so it was very quiet and relaxing. Mitarai is located at the end of the building after exiting the back door. There were also table seats outside. It seems like you can smoke cigarettes there. There were several other customers, but they all ordered Kawara Soba. I had a set meal so I could eat seasonal and local produce. They are all delicious. I also had the zenzai (red bean paste) and it was delicious. Although you can't see the scenery, I thought it would be nice to stop by for a break and feel like a cafe.

This is a restaurant where you can eat Kawara Soba, a specialty of Yamaguchi. Why Kawara Soba in the Takehara Townscape Preservation District? This is where I'm a little confused. Now, why do we eat it on a tile? Since the tiles are baked, it gives off a nice aroma, but people will either like it or dislike it. It's really ``yakisoba'', but when it's grilled on a tile, it's crispy and fragrant, and it's quite good. Kawara soba is a very colorful and fun food to eat in Yamaguchi. I really like pork among the ingredients. Also, when I eat this, I always need grated autumn leaves. It's on the top a little bit, but I really wish they would post more (lol) The store is a tasteful, historic building, and the space next to it where you can have tea is a nice touch. This is a store I always visit once a year.
