::Amazing place with truly traditional rooms with tatami and shoji. Really polite and helpful staff, great attention to detail, wide verity of amenities. They gave us a handmade postcard congratulating us on our wedding (we were on our honeymoon). Each cleaning they gave us a new candy to taste with a description relating to the history of the region. You had free kimonos available in the room which were changed daily, new water and tea. Breakfast was different every day and delicious. An absolutely amazing experience!

::So glad we booked this! Had an amazing stay and it fit so well with visiting Kanazawa and the traditional sites there. The junior suite is super spacious, was surprised by the 2 big rooms as well as 2 balconies. Lots of little touches throughout the space. When you soak in the bathtub you have a lovely view of the city. From the balconies you see both the city as well as the river. Everything was extremely clean, including the onsen (spa) on the 6th floor. The staff is extremely friendly and tries very hard. We got some local sweets in the room every day and it came with a story of the background of the sweet as well as the ingredients list. The breakfast buffet is small but well balanced between Japanese and Western breakfast choices. Everything I tried was delicious. Lots of locally sourced produce too. The location is a bit out of the city center but still within walking distance to the Kenroku-en garden and the castle, we also used the bus as there is a stop nearby (also takes you to the Kanazawa station).

::We had a wonderful stay here! The room is beautiful and comfortable. The location by the river guarantees the most beautiful views and the onsen is peaceful and relaxing. The staff is very friendly, we were treated wonderfully and felt very welcome. We were even offered umbrellas as it was raining upon our departure, which was so nice. Breakfast is delicious, elaborate and nutritious with local dishes. Hoping to come back one day :) thank you!

::Stayed one night, staff was extremely friendly. Received a free upgrade to the junior suite, on 7th floor with one of the best views of the city along the river. Transportation and access was a little ways from Kanazawa Station, but the loop bus lines can get you to and from the hotel in about 20 minutes, plus a 5 minute walk. Hotel is within walking distance of Kenrokuen Garden and the various museums. Facilities were impeccable clean, nice interior architecture interior design. The hotel is Ryokan style with decent prices. We had 2 tatami rooms, separate toilet and nice private bath. In addition, had japanese breakfast, very elaborate and delicious assortment of locally sourced from Ishikawa prefecture.

::Great ryokan-style hotel that's just a bit out of the center of Kanazawa. It's location is actually great for restaurants (just across the river) and a quiet night of sleep. Though the hotel is a bit dated, the service was exceptional and friendly especially to our small children.
