::Spent a night here in one of their rooms with private outdoor bath. The water quality was very good. Location is prime - right by the yubatake and across the famous onsen water show. Entrance is easy to miss - small alleyway with a narrow path that lead to a smaller and quieter foot bath by the reception. The facilities are a bit dated and you can pick up people walking and chatting outside your room fairly easily. This is expected due to the wooden structure of the building. Be ware of that if you are a light sleeper. Private outdoor bath was great with average view. Water temp was perfect and I had a great rest. Breakfast was provided with limited western selections. I am ok with that, not a big eater in the morning anyways. Checkout time was 10am, rather than the most common 11am for other hotels. Overall I am happy with the stay but for 41000 yen room rate, I would most likely opt for a regular room next time.

::A lovely little cafe, a little Hiden between two buildings but offering some unique snacks and a lovely foot hot spring. Is a little small if you have lots of luggage but they do provide lockers.

::The front lobby is next to the foot bath. My room didn’t have a shower or bath so we had to use the public bath. From 1am-5am you can use the private baths without a reservation. Also this hotel gives you a free ticket for another onsen at their sister hotel:) it’s a great location right in the middle of the town.

::The room was clean and very spacious with a really comfortable bed. The location is excellent as the hotel is right in the center of town opposite the yubatake. It was nice to put on a yukata and take a walk around in the evening. The breakfast was really quite good with a decent choice. The water in the bath was nice quality, but the bath itself was quite small. It would be nicer if there were more towels in the room. Admittedly I was a single traveler but there was only a single bath towel and face towel.

::This review is to help Western visitors. Overall this was a wonderful Onsen to stay at, the actual name is Yubatake Souan. Wonderful location, plenty food options and walking distance to multiple shrines etc. Staff were all friendly, helpful, and stored our bags b4 we were able to check in. They are tattoo friendly here as well! The public onsen inside the hotel is basic but does the job, and theres a nice foot bath at the entrance and multiple of each in the area. Highly recommend staying here! We got the room with the private onsen which was amazing, 100% worth the extra cash.
