If you're going to interrupt the conversation, it would be better to just specify a time without asking what's going on. I was very uncomfortable, but I called again at a different time. Also, since it was a general reception desk, I asked if they could refer me to the internal medicine outpatient department regarding reservations and treatment details. The person in charge of the internal medicine outpatient department responded quickly and flexibly to the situation. I took the initiative to call, so the situation was fine, but if an elderly person calls the general reception desk, I think there will be quite a few people who will get irritated and angry with the explanation.
