::In my (admittedly limited) experience, Toyoko Inn is nothing fancy, but it is fine for one or two nights and it's not expensive. I had a single-person room, which was quite small, but it was clean, it had a small bathroom, air-conditioning and pretty much everything else one might need for a night's stay. The breakfast was OK too and this location is within easy walking distance from Shin Yokohama Station, which is why I picked it in the first place. I stayed there for two nights (with a day elsewhere in between) and the staff were also perfectly OK with me leaving my large suitcase and picking it up on my return a day later. So, all in all a pretty good experience.

::Arrived at 15:20, check in was at 16:00. Tried to charge me extra or make me buy a membership card that I don’t need. Just starting on the wrong foot 😕

::I am the fan of Toyoko INN and I have stayed here for 3 times now. The economy single room is quite small but perfectly functionable. The room is super clean. The bed is big as queen-size bed. The shower pressure is strong which I like the most. The hotel provides an impressive complimentary breakfast which the menu's combination is changed regularly.

::Friendly staffs, tasty breakfast, convenient location to public transportation, walking distance to arena. One week after my check out, I realized I might leave my documents there. I didn’t put my Hope high but it’s so pleasant when I learned room service team was so thoughtful and keep it safe for me. I didn’t think it’s possible to retrieve it back, special thanks to room service staffs and reception team assist me with the rest.

::Toyoko-inn is a major mid-priced hotel chain in Japan. This particular one is a 5 minute walk from the train station. Staff is friendly but doesn't speak much English (Google Translate is a big help). Rooms are small by but very clean. My main complaint is that the beds are very firm by western standards, so I didn't sleep very well. Breakfast is included, and they do have free wifi and movies for rental in the rooms. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
