::I mean, it’s a budget hotel and I get it. But the difference is not night and day when it comes to prices. Many things were bad, mainly: - The bed was VERY uncomfortable. We woke up with back pain. - Also, our room was very noisy throughout the night. We were not able to sleep properly. There are things in the room like ventilation on top of the bed that you can’t close, clock ticking, fridge making noises. In addition, you hear every movement in neighboring rooms, outside the hall and outside the window. - Breakfast was included and we just skipped it after seeing the ambiance and food that was offered. If you don’t care about these, it’s a clean place to spend 1 night and take off the next day. 3 stops away from center with bus.

::That was fxxxxxx awful. worst. terreble. I was there when there is the big earthquakes. However, they only announced Japanese not English. No infortant information to share. I had to find by myself what I need. Next day, I had to go to the airport with the limo bus, however I can not find the latest information about this. I asked a staff at the front and they said no bus on that day. I even showed the limo bus homepage with announced but still said no bus. HOWEVER THERE WAS THE BUS. They gave a wrong info. No reliable hotel ever. Is it only this hotel problem? or Stereo type of Japanese?

::This was a great budget hotel, with friendly staff and quite a number of amenities. Soap, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, and had razor and nightgowns available at no charge. We arrived at two, but can't check in till 4pm. They stored our bags while we explored the castle, just two blocks from the hotel. Bathroom was like those on a ship. Small, but very functional. We were there for three nights and we got clean towels and toothbrushes each day but they didn't come into the room or change the sheets. They had a good traditional Japanese breakfast for us each morning. They have umbrellas to borrow with many places around town to return them or borrow.

::Inexpensive chain hotel, great location, free breakfast. The bed is very firm. The shower has some quirks, but is usable. Room is not soundproof and you will hear people walking by/talking in the hallway. The room has its own heat pump/AC and humidifier, which is a nice touch. Short walk to Kenroku-en and Kanazawa Castle.

::I have stayed in dozens of Toyoko Inns all over the country as well as abroad, but this is the first time I dislikes the experience. The breakfast consisted of nothing but overcooked rice, shredded cabbage, miso soup and croissants - that's not up to their standards at all! I've always had very fulfilling breakfasts in their other branches. Also, they expect you to leave your room by 10 AM and won't let you back in until 4 PM, for cleaning. By 11 AM they will call your room, (friendly) demanding you leave. I understand that cleaning needs to be done while you're gone, but barring you.from entering your room for hours! Other than that, it was the expected Toyoko Inn experience.
