::Update: +vegetarian and vegan options +fresh tofu dishes +great decor and ambience -some staff are rude and seem annoyed when you call them for assistance. -you may leave a bit smelly since they cook a lot of tempura. Old post: Whether you eat meat, fish, or neither, come try this place. This place specializes in tofu dishes but also serves other meat and fish dishes. When arriving at this place, you'll have to enter and walk down the steps. You'll be greeted by a staff member who will ask you to take off your shoes before leading you to your seat. I got the crab Croquette (1200 yen) and my friend got the weekly lunch (1000 yen) which was seared salmon with some ponzu like sauce. Each meal comes with tofu, soup, and rice. All I can say is wow! This place is designed in a way that helped me feel so calm and relaxed. The food was light but made me so full. I also appreciated how there is an English menu and some of the staff members spoke some English too. Don't skip dessert, we got the tofu tiramisu and it was delicious! This place is a must try.

::Lovely place with a very relaxing atmosphere. It's downstairs and you must take off your shoes before entering. Food was really good. The sets are mainly made with tofu but there are non tofu sets as well. The tofu cheesecake was fantastic. Agedashi tofu was so flavourful but still light. Would highly recommend as the food is so good. It took a long time before someone came to take our order. I think there was some confusion between the waitresses as to who was taking our table. But once we ordered, food came out quickly. Highly recommend reserving if you can. We did not realize this and were very lucky that they had an empty table. This place is cash only. They do not take card.

::Best tofu in town, hands down. Lunch sets are exceptional value, though lingering over delicious dishes and drinks in the evening is such a great experience. Best dishes: ‘colander/sieve tofu’, fried soft tofu (their speciality), fresh tofu which is cooked at your table and takes ~20 min.

::Quality tofu restaurant in Osaka! Ordered the deep fried tofu with broth & the deep fried tofu set. Both sets come with appetizer, rice, miso soup, and a large piece of smooth tofu. The deep fried tofu was very crispy on the outside, while the one with broth is also delicious with a softer texture and with more flavour. We were lucky to sit in the bar so we can see what’s happening in the kitchen. The restaurant is cosy and relaxing, with lots of local customers. Give it a try if you’re nearby!

::I absolutely adore the peaceful atmosphere of this restaurant. When you arrive, you'll descend a long staircase and then be asked to remove your shoes before stepping inside. I can't recommend the 空野豆腐 HANDMADE 'SORANO TOFƯ' enough - it practically melts in your mouth. While most of the dishes are tofu-based, they also offer warm options like chicken thighs and beef. It's a perfect spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
