  Since I had accumulated Jalan points, I made a reservation for the day trip course. As soon as I entered the hot spring, I was filled with the pleasant smell of cypress and was very impressed. The windows were also clean, so I was able to enjoy the view without getting bored. My meal was prepared right after I got out of the bath, but I was surprised when it was brought to me because I had booked it without looking at the meal details! It was my first time to see food being served on such a large tray. ``I'll get another dish,'' he said as the salt-grilled sweetfish arrived. What surprised me was not only the quantity, but also how delicious all the dishes were. I felt that everything was made with care. It was my first time to eat salt-grilled sweetfish, so I searched YouTube for [How to eat salt-grilled sweetfish] and gave it a try, but it was so fluffy and tender down to the back bone that I was able to eat the whole thing, so I didn't have to look it up lol. It gave me a warm feeling, like returning to my parents' home in the countryside.

  An absolutely beautiful and cozy hot spring. Don't miss it if it's on your way. Ibaraki is not famous for hot springs but this one definitely worth a visit. 750 yen per adult. Absolutely gorgeous during the hanami season: the location is surrounded by sakura trees.

  Nice ryokan even though a bit aged. People there are great and cheerful. Onsen is good and dinner is delicious. Thumbs up
