::Takitakan is an oasis nestled deep in the Iwaki greenery. On a summer night look up at the sky. You might see a million stars! For those looking for a bucolic getaway do give it a try. Kazu and Maki are very hospitable. You will not be disappointed. Super chill lounge space. Onsen is 100% pure. Gentle on skin.

::It was an amazing stay at Takitakan! Standalone room with hot bath is what we needed after sightseeing. If you dont speak Japanese - dont worry! The hosts speak English so you dont risk miscommunication at all! The place is great, hot bath, air con, tvs, fast WiFi, it is where japanese culture meets high tech. Amazing! There are two cats in the main building, if you are patient they will surely come. Just dont let them out :) What I can recommend - rent a car and use it to go here, just remember to bring an International Driving License (not older than one year).

::Just stayed at this ryokan and honestly had the best experience! The ryokan is owned by a hospitable couple that speaks English perfectly, of which one is a former photographer and the other is a former chef. The latter can be enjoyed to the fullest as they offer dinner and breakfast. I enjoyed the food so much, that I dare say it is one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan. They use ingredients from their own field in the backyard, which made them fresh and with a lot of flavor. The countryside is also the view for most of the rooms with big windows to enjoy the morning sun. They were also flexible and made me breakfast even though I had to leave really early. I think it is clear that I recommend this ryokan and would love to come back.

::A beautiful place in the middle of nature. We immediately felt good. The owners have renovated the place with talent. With noble materials and good taste. We enjoyed the excellent dishes prepared for us with healthy and tasty products. What to say of the bread made house by the owner. Sublime! It was a little far from Takasaki but we are delighted of our stay. 美しい。自然の中で。とても美味しい料理。優れたパン。素敵なオーナー様です。

::Really amazing spot! It’s a beautiful traditional Japanese house deep in the countryside surrounded by forests and rice fields. It was once a home for long stay healing in the natural healing springs. The spring is not naturally hot, but it’s heated there and you can take a luxurious bath in a revitalizing spring bath (be careful, the bath in the main house is not available in the morning, only evening/night). The food is wonderful traditional Japanese fare, the hosts are friendly, and the whole vibe is a kind of traditional feel like you’re in an upscale retro resort. At night, the stars are amazing, and nearby there are some fun dinosaur attractions. I’ll definitely be back!
