::Mexico is # 1 for tacos in Okinawa. It specializes in a simple and tasty taco that is very unique and mainly appreciated by locals and tourists. There is one taco on the menu, made to order. The taco is soft and chewy. It has a mochi texture which is why Japanese people like it so much. The filling is a little ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The salsa you can add is what makes it nice. The price is good and it is cash only. Getting to eat the tacos here can be a lottery game. Seats inside are very limited and there is often a large queue of people waiting to order. You may also see a sold out sign if there’s none left. But, trying the food here is worth it. The restaurant has been featured by travel magazines. I also recommend adding this place to your list of spots. Great experience.

::The best Okinawan taco I've had. No wonder people line up for this place. Soft and tender shell with spiced up meat inside.

::I heard about this place from a couple of people and I had hi hopes. It wasn't bad, but the food was sort of bland. Nothing really to write home about in my opinion. I know this place gets alot of traffic, I just didn't find it as good as others have said. I will say that the prices are reasonable though.

::The best taco rice that I've had while in Okinawa. The tacos were really good as well for an Okinawa taco. Great prices and very fast service. The pineapple shikuwasa drink was delicious.

::I love little places like this: minimal menu, but damn good at what they do. I went in fresh from the airport after picking up my rental car. They had parking on the premises. I walked in and the hostess guided me to the counter. I took a quick look at the menu and realized they only did chicken or beef tacos, in various quantities. I went for 5. I chose my drink, paid in cash. They have seats for about 20 people in total. Fairly small shop with nice, Mexican decorations. The food tasted great: not too much seasoning or extra ingredients. It was straight to the point with 3-inch fried tortilla skins, ground beef, American cheese, lettuce, and a small slice of tomato. They also had a small dish of salsa. You add salsa to taste, and enjoy. Nothing particularly mind blowing about the taste, but you can appreciate the simplicity and fundamentals. Would recommend to anyone visiting Okinawa on their way up north for a quick stop and snack. I would come back again.
