This is my favorite sushi restaurant that I always use when I go to Hayama. We are always happy to serve you fresh and delicious sushi and meals. The interior of the store is also antique and has a luxurious feel, and is clean and comfortable. The general manager and landlady are also kind and always talk to me with a smile, which makes me happy. They also kindly helped us when we forgot something. The prices are reasonable and parking is available, which is helpful. We look forward to seeing you again when you visit Hayama.

Chef Mori has been a sushi chef for 60 years - in Hawaii, Tokyo, Yokohama and Hayama. He's been at this location for close to 30 years. He has a great story - and don't forget to ask him about the pics of motorcycles by the entrance. He designed the western house to be different - so people would be curious why sushi is in a German-like house. Not sure that works but he is quite eccentric that way. He is a man who introduced how to use avocado in Japan - in particular, the early version of California rolls to Japanese households. He has a TV video to prove it. Pretty wild. Japan didn't even have salmon back then. Good sushi. I ordered the Ume set (cheapest 2500 yen set) which was great. I added a piece of Uni later (which is a bit expensive at 900 yen for 2 pieces but worth it for the quality). I will be back.

I went for dinner with friends. They had the special posted on the sign outside, but since I don't eat raw fish, I ordered the rolled sushi, cucumber, takuan (pickled radish), tamago (egg), and umejiso (pickled plum with perilla). The presentation was lovely and I really liked the umejiso. It would've been better if they accepted credit cards. This is a cash only establishment and they don't speak English. Bring a friend who speaks Japanese. The name on Google maps should be Sushiya No Kitcho (Kitcho, house of sushi)
