::great stay for a traditional ryokan experience. conveniently located between some major sites in kanazawa. lovely breakfast, service, and rooms. we enjoyed our two nights and would recommend!

::Best experience in Japan so far! SUPER authentic ryokan (recognized among the few places that preserve Kanazawa’s old identity). The room was very comfortable and the Japanese breakfast delicious. The owners take great care of their customers. They have a private onsen too. We were the only non-Japanese tourists. Superb quality / price ratio.

::Excellent in every way. Rooms large, well-appointed, and comfortable, with extra blankets and even an extra mattress in the closet; yukata provided for lounging or bathing; location equidistant from most places a tourist might want to go in Kanazawa, and near many restaurants and bus lines; the included Japanese breakfast was also tasty and generous, with a large chunk of grilled fish, and a high-quality coffee machine. Do try the shared bath: a great experience to shower thoroughly and then have a soak in the big bathtub. (The men's bath fits about two people comfortably; maybe three if they're all friends.) Service also great. They helped us find a good restaurant and then called in the reservation for us, and were even able to point us to a nearby hotel selling the one-day bus pass we had neglected to buy at the train station.

::Fantastic ryokan, located very close to the main market. We stayed two nights, and got the dinner included for the first night. Japanese breakfast was very well done and not overly filling. The dinner was a spectacular showcase of the same fish you can find at the nearby market. The lady running the place is a true professional. Highly recommend to anyone.

::Stayed here with my partner for one night while during a longer visit around Japan. I recommend the place wholeheartedly, it was the highlight of our visit to Kanazawa. This traditional ryokan is very cozy and ideally located right next to the market and walking distance from Kanazawa station and Higashi Chaya. The room was very comfortable to sleep in and had everything we needed. The public bath had a great atmosphere. The owner was genuinely warm and kind. We took advantage of the free rental bikes that they offer and our bike ride around Kanazawa ended up being one of our favourite experiences of this trip. We didn't order any meals since we expected to prefer eating out somewhere, but had I known the energy in this place was so special I definitely would have elected to have the experience of eating dinner and breakfast here. According to the other reviews, the ingredients are sourced from the nearby market. If I visit Kanazawa again I will definitely stay here again and order meals.
