  I think this was probably the best meal of my life. At least so far. The staff was courteous and helped me understand my meal with patience using google translate.

  Amidst the snowflakes falling light, Shogyotei is a warm and cozy sight, A place where flavors come to play, A place where foodies love to stay. The lunch set is a work of art, 15 dishes, each with its own part, From sashimi to shrimp and more, Every bite is worth it, that's for sure. Braised chicken with a miso base, Chawamushi, a delicate taste, Sea bream and grilled mackerel too, Lotus root croquette, a delight so true. Beef dumplings with senzenmai, Dried daikon, grilled cod, don't shy away, Custard egg and rice with plum, Dried sardines, oh yum, yum, yum. And for dessert, a perfect end, Kusamochi zenzai, what a blend, Shibazuke and coffee, the perfect pair, This meal is indeed beyond compare. Shogyotei, a restaurant so fine, A true gem in Kanazawa, divine, A place where culinary dreams come true, A place where every dish shines anew.

  Gorgeous meal from start to finish. Not only the preparation but also the dishes that each course was served on made this a feast for the senses. Service was impeccable and despite our non-existent japanese our server helped to explain each dish. Also a beautiful view overlooking the city enjoyed from your private dining room. Thank you for such a wonderful meal
