::First meal after arriving at Fukushima Station Purchased from a ticket vending machine, new bills cannot be used. I think it was cash only. Even though you can eat soba standing up, there is a place to sit, which was helpful for those carrying heavy luggage. When I ordered the katsudon set, it was a sauce katsudon♪ It is said to be a specialty dish of Fukushima and it was delicious.

Since I came all the way to Fukushima, I wanted to try some sauce katsudon, so I ordered today's set of warm soba noodles and sauce katsudon. I was licking it😰 I thought it would be a combination of mini sauce katsudon or mini soba, but both are full size⁉️ The freshly fried cutlet was delicious, and the soba noodles were also good. It was a restaurant where aunties were cooking. As of September 16, 2024, new bills cannot be used, so you can exchange money at the store♪ I was full for 1,000 yen🈵

::Fugafuga noodles cost a reasonable amount of money. The soup is quite thin. Was it overcooked and not drained enough? The kakiage is deep-fried, but the fact that it's warm and crispy is the only saving grace. Soba tea is also nice. Although it is located on the first floor of the Shinkansen building, the service is served at an unusual speed for a standing soba restaurant. I thought I ordered with 30 minutes to spare before it got crowded (60% of the seats were empty), but it took 15 minutes, and I was almost at the last minute to get on the Shinkansen. There are four employees and the tempura is fried, so why does it take so long? . . The layout of the store is also disappointing. There was a line at the ordering counter, and I had a standing seat right behind it. There's no space for customers to come and go, there's no one-way traffic, and no consideration has been given to travelers with luggage. If you are in a hurry, you should use the Shinkansen ticket gate.

The customer service is courteous, but considering it's a stand-up setting, it takes a while to prepare the food, so be careful if you're in a hurry. The taste is usually delicious.

::2023.12.01 Ordered curry soba for 650 yen. Perfect for the cold season. The soba is Nihachi, and it's so delicious that you can't believe it's near the station. However, the delivery is not fast and the price is a little high. But the taste surpasses them all. I guess it's a different genre of station soba from major Hakone soba. In addition to the standing counter, there are also tables and chairs, so it's a good place to wait for your Shinkansen. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious. Soba soup is also delicious.
