  The atmosphere is relaxing. I had a baby with me, so I had a good impression that the staff were attentive to me, such as preparing food for me. All the meals were delicious. Many of the customers were mothers and families with small children, so I felt like I could eat here without worry even if I brought my small children with me. As long as I was looking, there were no kids screaming, so I think it's a very popular store.

  3/06/2024 Close to Daijuji Temple, which is connected to Ieyasu. The parking lot was almost full, and the restaurant seemed to be popular with locals. I received the ``Jyunoie Gozen'' for 2,500 yen. A small pot is attached to a beautiful three-tiered weight. The mugwort sashimi served as an appetizer was unusual, and the tuna-based sashimi was also delicious. The grilled salmon is okay. Although the portions were large and the number of people coming and going at the popular restaurant was a bit unsettling, it was still an enjoyable lunch.

This time, I had eel jus, and it was super delicious ✨ It seems that each eel at Shigenoya is carefully and slowly grilled over charcoal by a craftsman who specializes in eel. I heard that when grilling the eel, they don't use iron skewers, but instead use wooden skewers, which conduct the heat perfectly. I love eel and have eaten it at many eel restaurants, but I really recommend the eel at Shigeya! Next time, I would like to try the eel kaiseki meal.

  I came here to celebrate my second grandchild's 100th birthday. The food was beautifully presented and tasted very delicious and elegant. I was glad that the steps for the meal ritual were written in an easy-to-understand manner. My first grandchild had just started walking, so it was great to be able to spend time comfortably in a completely private room. My first grandchild's lunch was also voluminous and delicious!
