::The food is delicious and the rooms are simple but clean.

::You can feel the atmosphere of the former Sansei Elementary School everywhere. Accommodation facilities are essential for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. The artist will also be staying during the production period. Customers visiting from Japan and abroad as well as volunteer staff will meet each other at this dormitory. I was able to hear about the experiences of people who have volunteered to run art festivals across Japan for many years, and I was also able to hear about the behind-the-scenes stories behind the production of performance works for which tickets have not yet been released. By staying at Sansei House, I was able to enjoy more ways to enjoy my trip to the art festival than I had imagined. I come to Tokamachi in my usual clothes, have a delicious home-cooked meal for dinner, and talk to my heart's content about the art festival with people I get along with at the time. I was sure that I would not be able to experience this luxurious time anywhere else. Of course, the works inside the museum were also worth seeing, and I was once again impressed by how much care has been taken in creating this place.

::We visited this place to participate in the Echigo-Tsumari Land Art Festival. I had the opportunity to stay in this youth hostel which was converted from an elementary school. Walking in the corridor, you will be surrounded by different works of art. We experienced one stay and two meals here, and it was very interesting to queue up for meals with other tourists like students. Although there is no air conditioning here, the elementary school surrounded by mountains and forests does not feel very hot. And what's very considerate is that there is a stylishly designed conversation room on the first floor that is air-conditioned. This is a unique and high-cost accommodation option in an art festival.

::I didn't stay there, but I did see the works. There are 4 works in total. Overall it was very nostalgic and good. Personally, I found Gymnasium Life Sugoroku's world view to be very strong and interesting. A strange song was playing. The photo is one of my favorite Sugoroku.

::I used it at the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale a few years ago. You will be staying in a dormitory-like room with bunk beds, so the prices are lower than in regular accommodations. I feel this is a great accommodation for people who don't mind sharing a room with other people, especially for solo travelers. I liked that it was a former school so I could feel the goodness of nature, and the meals that incorporated local specialties were very delicious and satisfying. The friendliness of the host was also good. When I asked them, they gave me a lot of information about sightseeing. The location is difficult to reach by public transportation, but there was a shuttle bus available, which was helpful.
