  Lovely old school Ryokan with amazing onsen and very good food. The rooms would need some renovation, nothing radical, but some modern appliances would not hurt. WiFi was pretty bad (I guess would be within the needed renovation). Pleasant location near the river, peaceful in ureshino.

  Amazing traditional hotel . The onsen bath was the hottest out of any onsen I've been to. Room, food, and service were outstanding and made for a memorable trip. Hotel had a great atmosphere and felt very comfy. Free parking also included.

  Nice staff with pick up service from bus stop as per request. This onsen area is a historical place but the hotel is clean and comfy, the bathtub quite old but you would prefer to go public bath and enjoy 50mins private bath 😊so not a problem, prepare translation apps so staff can help as they can. The jazz bar on ground floor can order drink till midnight. Souvenir in hotel ☺️ Tips: if don’t have big luggage, quite close and you may turn into while seeing the big wordings on my photo

  We received a warm welcome from the staffs once we arrived . Especially Ahena san (have no idea how to spell her name), she is so friendly and helpful. She took really a good care of us through our whole stay, and tried to speak very simple english and let us understand how to use the facilities inside the room and how to dine in Japanese way. We wanna say thank you to her once again here. We ordered a room with a private outdoor Onsen(the hotspring), its really awesome and we love it very much. The onsen can be occupied by 2 persons and enjoy the river view. In the room, u may play some jazz music with the vinyl record player, thats made us so relaxing while we were drinking green tea. We enjoyed so much in our stay, we would pick this onsen hotel again when we come back next time.

  For a last minute booking, 9000 yen it wasn't bad. Also I booked a smoking room by accident, but the smell wasn't noticeable to me. The room was spacious,and had needed amenities. The onsen was open till 2400 hour, so I had plenty of time to relax. The onsen reopened at 0600 hour. There are private baths for those who are not comfortable being around other people, but it requires a reservation and extra costs. The B1 and the first floor lounge had pretty good sounding systems with the first floor offering your choice of vinyl records to play on the record player.
