::Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were polite and professional. Cons: 1. The pool closes very early; the last entry is at 6:30 PM, although it remains open until 8:30 PM. We booked a room with pool access, but never used it because we didn't expect it to close so early. We checked in at 7 PM and wanted to go to the pool, but it was no longer possible. The next day, we spent the entire day exploring Kyoto and returned around 7 PM, expecting to use the pool then as well. 2. The view from the room was of rooftops. 3. Breakfast is pricy. We had breakfast at a cafe nearby

::Throughout the duration of my one night stay at this hotel, I can safely say that despite the luxury, the service of the hotel came short of "great". When I decided to use the pool, the hotel staff chased me back and told me to check in, barely knowing how to speak English. I was then told to pay 11,000 Japanese yen FOR USING A POOL!! Throughout my long list of hotels that I've stayed in, I have never experienced staff demanding that I pay to use a pool. Pathetic if you ask me. Secondly, the room I was assigned had the worst possible view from the sixth floor. What appeared from my sight of the window was a literal roof of a neighboring building. Literally a rooftop view! On the contrary, the facilities were modern and user-friendly.

::What a superb hotel. We had a traditional room (well hall, bathroom, toilet, luggage room and main bed/ eating area, and it was super comfortable and very spacious. No issues with any noise, and the staff were amazingly helpful

::Nice clean hotel which is fairly close to the main station. Main issue is that the use of the pool is not included in the room rate (at least it wasn't for us) and they also don't allow people with Tattoos. Luckily mine are small enough to cover with a waterproof plaster!

::This is a large, good quality, somewhat impersonal hotel located very close to the central station. My room on the 6th floor was quiet as it faced the back of the building. It was comfortable, fairly large with a western-style bathroom. The breakfast buffet is excellent and very varied, as long as you arrive early to get a place as it quickly becomes crowded from 6.30am. It's a shame that the swimming pool and fitness centre were extra for my room rate.
