  I stayed at the Richmond Sendai Ekimae for 5 nights in Feburary 2024 and would recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap, clean, and convenient location to use a base to explore Sendai. Very friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Having a coin-laundry in the hotel was a great way to keep on top of laundry. The hotel is very close to Sendai station, so access to the subway, the JR trains and the shinkansen are at your doorstep. I would stay here again on my next visit to Sendai.

  Great location. We had a pleasant stay, and the included breakfast was nice, since places dont tend to open until 10am. The soft serve ice cream was great. My only complaint is that the laundry room seemed to get quite busy and it took longer to dry clothing when using the coin locker on 6f

  A short walk from the train station (shinkansen), escalators available to get to street level. Look for the pink building. Conveniently located to public transportation, lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Don Quijote Mega store is across the street and a shopping/dining arcade very close by. Also a couple of blocks away from the "Sendai Morning Market." Staff spoke some English and were very friendly/welcoming. Breakfast was included and we found it tasty and a great value (cold items such as yogurt/milk, salad, various juice/beverages and hot items including soup du jour x2, freshly baked pastries both savory and sweet varieties and breads). The self-service juice bar and soft cream is available until 11pm. I was suprised to find so many people in the lobby enjoying soft cream near the closing time, but then again great minds think alike. The TV has info about the laundry room status, including machine availability and time remaining on the wash/dry, a very convenient feature. The washing machines have their own laundry detergent so you will not need to bring any of your own. You'll need 100yen coins to pay for the wash/dry and the front desk helped me with changing a bill for coins. Overall a great value, including simple but tasty breakfast and self service juice and soft cream stations, close to public transportation and many restaurants/bars in the area. Highly recommended, would stay again.

  I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, and the service was very polite and professional. The thing that I liked the best was the lounge area in the lobby. There were a lot of comfortable chairs and there was a drink bar and soft-serve ice cream free of charge. It was a nice place to relax after a day out. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The food offered was bread and prepared cold dishes. The buffet was very clean and food items were well-stocked. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Sendai.

  It's a great hotel. My room was clean and big enough with a great bed and most importantly silent. Nice amenities: lounge available with coffee, soft drinks and also a soft served ice cream machine. Free breakfast with excellent croissants and other danishes as well as salad, fruits, hot soups. Enough for me. At last but not least excellent location, 5 min from the main station, and next to many restaurants.
