I was able to enter the store without waiting. It was my first visit and by default the soup was as good as I ordered and it was piping hot. I will visit again, but please check to see if you can change the hardness of the noodles, the thickness of the soup, and the addition of garlic.

First visit. I went there because it is the main branch of a famous Niigata Swallow Fat Ramen restaurant. I ordered Naojiro. Bean sprouts and cabbage are topped with char siu, ginger, diced char siu, and back fat. If you break it up and eat it, it will be like thick noodles, but the soup will get mixed up in it, like medium-thick flat noodles. I thought the soup would be a bit salty, but the broth was strong and the ginger added a nice aftertaste, making it delicious. The backfat isn't too greasy, so it's easy to eat.

I had the lunch set of back fat Chinese noodles and half-fried rice. The price is exactly 1000 yen with a free large bowl of noodles. In this era of price hikes, I think it might be a good deal if the set was priced at this price. I wouldn't say that the ramen and fried rice were delicious, but they were delicious enough. I want to come here for lunch at least several times a week. It was a feast. ↑Added in November 2023↑ I visited several times and tried various things. Meat soba is delicious with soy sauce and miso. It definitely goes well with rice. Naojiro is full of garlic. Unlike the original, you can eat a large bowl of noodles as long as your stomach size is average. It will fill you up though. Of course, people have their own preferences, but I personally think that no matter what I order, the taste is above average. (June 2018)

If you want Sanjo backfat ramen, this is the place for you 😊 The staff here is kind. I thought it was child-friendly. I have two young children at home, and they always let me choose one toy of their choice 🙇‍♀️ There are quite a lot of ramen menus 😉 There are also plenty of toppings 🥺 Of course the ramen is delicious 😊 The soup is made with dried sardines, and the noodles are thick and chewy. (*Back fat Chinese noodles have thick noodles, and soy sauce ramen has thin noodles.) Even though it's Chinese noodles with back fat, it's light and delicious 😊 Oh, and I personally got a really high point from having menma on the tip🥹💓 I’m grateful for the free large bowl of noodles 🆓 😭 For men and those who are hungry, it may be better to have a large bowl of noodles. It surprisingly goes well. ⚠️Attention⚠️ Credit cards cannot be used.

I had eaten at Naoji's Toyocho branch in Tokyo before, but since I was in Niigata on a business trip, I wanted to try out the main branch. I entered the store as soon as it opened at 6pm in the evening, ordered a large serving of meat soba (free of charge) that is not sold at the Toyocho store, ordered gyoza to go with it, and sat down. Wait a while, ramen. The gyoza arrived at the table late and I ate it. There was a raw egg yolk on top of the meat soba, and I took a sip of the soup while breaking it up. The flavor is similar to sweet Kanto-style sukiyaki. Sprinkle a little bit of Naoji's unique dried chili peppers on the table as you eat, and the mild spiciness goes perfectly with the dish. As I ate more and more, the half rice (included with the service) was gone, and it went perfectly with the gyoza, so I didn't have any complaints. The gyoza had a little less garlic, probably because women dislike the smell of garlic, but the skin was chewy and delicious. Personally, I would have liked more garlic. However, I was satisfied because I was able to get a glimpse of his ability to survive in the fierce ramen battleground of Niigata. I'm glad I went to Oji's main store, where I couldn't go wrong. By the way, I heard from the owner of the main store that Naoji's owner in Toyocho also trained here. It was a shop that I wanted to visit again and again because the owner was friendly and had a good reputation.
