We tried this German beer and food warehouse near Otaru canal. It was unique to see a robot delivering us the food. We also used a paper to order items before handing to a staff member. The food was quite so-so. We tried assorted German sausages and the German pizza. We quickly ate and left.

A German Style beer hall featuring traditional German dishes. Also serving pizza and other foods. The beer served are different varieties of Otaru beer. All good. I ordered a large beer. Little did I know it was a liter ! Not that I'm complaining. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and enjoyed views of the canal. The service is interesting. One seated you order off a card. Every drink and menu choice is numbered. When your food and drinks are ready, they are delivered by a robot.

The number one beer house is along the Otaru Canal. The beers are great. They offer a free beer history tour on the second floor.

Great atmosphere, decent food. The non alcoholic beers were good, the apple cider was delicious. Tried the usual food, schnitzel, sausages, German potatoes and sauerkraut. It was a treat to receive our food orders from the robot :-) the giant vats of brewery paraphernalia made for a very attractive and enticing decor to the place. Didn’t take the tour on the second floor, just took a quick peek on the way to the ladies.

The tour on second level wasn’t anything much like the ones I have visited elsewhere like in Spain or Australia. It’s quite empty and not worth visiting if you don’t drink beer. Beer was quite good. Self service concept where you order your own food, collect your own, find a seat your own and return the cup yourself too. Had beer outside beside the canal, very cold but got a nice view, so it’s worth the brace the cold weather.
