  Great staffs and spacious room for a Japanese hotel. Throughout inside of hotel is pretty clean. I had a great view of ocean and town from the windows but I had to close the curtains to keep our room cool.. only a few choices of temperature adjustment in our room, off/low/mid/high. Location is ok as long as you have a car, there were no restaurants or shopping within a walking distance. Their restaurant has a great buffet for breakfast which if you pay in advance you can get discounted prices. Their bar opens 6pm and closes midnight, nice view and good staff.

  Great views and breakfast with a voucher. Location is not close to much but it’s good if you’re just wanting to relax.

  The Grand Mer is in an ideal location: the main mall is close, plenty of restaurants (and Izakayas, for those that know) and the hotel itself is very nice. Rooms are larger than the “Japanese” normal. The staff, as a whole, are wonderful and professional. ***It is up on a hill so having a car or using a taxi is a must*** unless you like small hikes.

  Overall: wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Busy hotel lot of traffic from local sports teams, many services were closed due to that. Customer service was exceptional! Rooms: the room was very spacious, had a window view and was clean. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable (worst sleep I’ve had in years) and air conditioning was in consistent, some days were hot and muggy and some days were nice and cool. Service: lots of parking if you have a car, washer dryer (very small and takes a long time to dry). Due to the sports teams the restaurant were constantly closed or hours were shorten for the public, when they were open they were not bad (buffet style). The bar on the 10th floor was closed half the time as well so it was a bit frustrating, when it was open it wasn’t bad. Location: there is nothing near the hotel, best to have a rental. I would return if the beds were more comfortable.

  Long story short due to other hotels being booked when my family and I arrived here we ended staying at the Okinawa Grand Mer Resort. We stayed in the hotel for two weeks while we were getting settled in. The hotel is beautiful and feels luxurious. We ate at the buffet area which had an amazing spread of local and western food. Also there is a beautiful view of the ocean right outside the hotel. I would also like to highlight the staff and workers here. They are extremely polite, professional, understanding, and helpful. They helped my family coordinating taxi pick up and drop offs, and helped us translate a few things. I will definitely miss it here. The Okinawa Grand Mer resort is a hotel to stay at! Highly recommend!
