::We stayed here for the Namahage Festival. The room was rather large and super relaxing. The futon was perfectly comfortable providing a great nights sleep. The temperature was just right and the large windows provided a great view. The staff here were always welcoming, helpful and friendly. The food and drink was delicious, with a wide variety. We had a private room for eating which was the best for relaxing while enjoying a meal to it's fullest. There are vending machines with soft drinks and alcohol and a shop with more and plenty of souvenirs. You can easily relax in the large lobby as there is much seating. The onsen baths were absolutely exemplary. Providing relief from much activity and fatigue. Namahage visited the lobby in the mornings. Which was exciting and enjoyable to see. Setting us up for a day visiting the museum and then onto the Festival in the evening. They waved us goodbye too. As for the area, it's run down and a lot of abandoned buildings exist here. Even the hotel has a slight feeling of it might get abandoned. Things certainly need a revamp and replace. I just hope the area and the hotel can have a boost soon.

::Good points: - The food was amazing. We got a private room to eat in and all of the dishes where delicious. - The room was large and very comfortable. - We slept well in futons - Toilet and bathroom were separate - Big windows - All the staff were happy, welcoming, and attentive - Onsen bath was great - The hotel has free shuttles to the train station. As we were there for the Namehage Sedo Festival there are paid coaches put on for that too. - Also in Namehage season - some of those Namehage came into the hotel in the morning to make sure everyone was behaving. Which was much fun. - The hotel was nice and warm throughout. Bad points: - The surrounding area has a lot of abandoned buildings. Beyond the hotel the town itself is run down. - It is very big, and we prefer a more cozy space. - A good amount of the hotel needs a refresh. The hotel was clean, but linens need replacing and many of the windows are hazy.
