::■Lunch 2024/09/10 (Sun) around 13:15 Flounder set meal with tempura, 2,850 yen. Considering it's a tourist destination, I feel like I'm spending nearly 3,000 yen for lunch, which is a lot of money, but my desire to eat flounder was more than satisfied. As of 13:15 on Sunday, there was no wait and it was rather empty. I read in the reviews that no one came out when I entered the store, so I went inside and looked for a clerk. And there's a counter and a kitchen area in the back of Oita? A person who appears to be the male host is in the kitchen, and a woman who appears to be an usher is sitting at the counter. When I told them there was only one person, I was guided to a large semi-private room that seemed to seat 6 people. I ordered the flounder gozen with tempura that I had decided on in advance for 2,850 yen. There were some reviews that said the customer service was poor, but I didn't feel that way when entering the store, ordering, or paying, so I thought the customer service was rather good. This may depend on how busy the store is. However, there were times when customers who came in later got no response even though I said "Excuse me" several times at the entrance, so this may be a concern for some people. It might happen. Perhaps because it was empty, the food came out without having to wait that long. It looks exactly like the review photos from other people, and has the expected amount and texture. Is flounder sashimi white, gross, skin, and veranda? It has a full course feel and is fulfilling. There is ponzu sauce and sashimi soy sauce, and grated autumn leaves and green onions are included for the ponzu sauce, and wasabi for the sashimi soy sauce. I feel like the sashimi soy sauce would go better with the rice, and the ponzu sauce would go well with alcohol (although I didn't add it). But both were delicious, and I enjoyed trying different flavors each time. Both taste and quantity are satisfying. The chawanmushi had a lot of ingredients, and I was impressed by the fact that it contained bamboo shoots and fish meat. The miso soup comes in a large bowl and contains fish pieces. It is difficult to eat because it has many small bones, but it is delicious when eaten. The tempura has a thin batter and is very crunchy, and although it does have some oil, it has a relatively light texture, which is how I like to fry it. It was tempura with carrots, eggplant, lion tang, two shrimp and fish fillets. I didn't know what kind of fish it was, but it was delicious with a strong flavor and chewy flesh. These also come with salad, kinpira burdock, and pickles for 2,850 yen. It seems that the price has gone up considerably within the past year, but considering the price from the beginning, the taste and volume are not particularly strange. I came all the way to Hirado, and I think it's a good place to go if you want to try some flounder, even if it's reasonably priced. Maybe not).

::I'm happy to be able to order a set meal even at night. There are many luxurious and voluminous menus. The fish wasn't bad, but the rice had a distinct smell, like it had been repeatedly kept warm, so I couldn't finish it and ended up leaving it.

::I visited Hirado Flounder Festival for weekend lunch. There is a parking lot on the right side of the store, and there are about 10 spaces on the right before the bridge, but they are mostly light-sized, and regular cars may be able to park there if it is early enough (there is a paid parking lot nearby). The phone was ringing, but it looked busy and I couldn't get a call, so it might be difficult to make reservations right after opening or during busy hours. I change the restaurant every year and visit during the Hirame Festival, but it was the most delicious I've ever had ❤️ The volume was perfect. It was a very delicious sashimi that had a chewy texture and the sweetness of the flounder. You can enjoy it with both ponzu and soy sauce, and it also comes with a soup salad. ::Two adults came here on a Sunday evening. As for the food, I ordered a large sake bottle set meal (1,680 yen) that included sashimi and tempura. Considering that the sashimi set meal and tempura set meal are 1,380 yen, I think this is a better value. Considering the price and the food, it's not bad. As for the sashimi, the squid seemed a little sticky, but the rest was delicious. The chawanmushi was piping hot and delicious, but unfortunately the miso soup was quite warm when it arrived. Tempura was delicious. Perhaps there were not many staff members, but I noticed that even when I called, they didn't come to the tables other than our own. When I was paying, I went to the back and called out to them, but the clerk was smoking a cigarette at the counter (an older woman), so I wondered if it was a good idea.
