::This is a 5-minute uphill walk from Chuo Terminal and Ski Shuttle Service. But I’m rating the location with 5 stars because, as far as I know, this is the only place with the view of the mountains and the village from their hot spring. Irreplaceable! The staff were also kind and helpful. And some of them go out of their way to understand and help us despite the language barrier. Definitely recommend this place! You can ask the staff to book you a taxi on your departure.

::Enjoy the place, very nice onsen in the hotel indoor and outdoor onsen. Very good breakfast and dinner meal quality. The room onsen temperature is too hot to use though. Went there during winter. Enjoy the white snow scenery around the hotel. We like and enjoy the place.

::Our recent stay at Nozawa Grand Hotel was wonderful from start to finish, as expected in this haven in Nozawa Onsen where we have previously stayed. Our family return to the hotel because of the food and its wonderful chef Shinichi Tomii who creates original many course meals with local fish, forest vegetables, a wide variety of sashimi and tempura, exquisite desserts and more. We also return for the onsen, both indoor and outdoor, with a view to the quaint village and snow-covered mountains. Finally and very importantly, the hospitality from all staff members at our delightful Japanese and Western breakfast, in the lobby before setting off from skiing, when getting our afternoon treats and then enjoying a beautiful dinner is always friendly, warm and top class. Of course, the skiing is fantastic here with a wide choice of runs and the hotel is a very easy walk thru the delightful village to the ski fields via the 'moving stairs' (though we miss the nearby chair lift, now out of use.) We love Nozawa Grant Hotel and this beautiful spot in Japan in the Nagano mountains. What's more the discounted lift passes (available at the hotel) are an added bonus. And the little hotel shop stocks many wonderful local products. All up? Superb.

::A quaint hotel situated close to the ski fields. The rooms were pretty large in comparison to standard hotel rooms. It’s only restaurant serves a set course menu for dinner and a buffet for breakfast. The waitresses were very kind and helpful. Whilst the hotel looked grand, the rooms however, were a bit dated and needed in a bit of refurbishment. Overall, it’s a good hotel if you want to ski or snowboard due to its close vicinity to the ski fields

::Absolutely charming and as a foreigner , it gave my family possibly a real taste of what Japan is really like. We were lucky enough to have a large room with it’s own private onsen looking out into the ski fields - poor season in Jan 2020 !! Only real drawback and which is why my family would not go back , it is a long walk or bus ride to ski fields especially if you are use to ski in / ski out facilities. It can take about 20 - 40 minutes in travelling time to get to the ski fields
